The Multiphase Flow and Thermal Engineering Laboratory (MFTEL) at Inha University is driven by a mission: to engineer a safer, more efficient, and sustainable energy future. We achieve this by innovating across two critical technological pillars: 

- Extreme Heat Management: We develop elite cooling solutions for critical systems by specializing in advanced boiling and condensation heat transfer. Our work spans from ensuring the safety of small modular reactors to designing cutting-edge chip cooling for next-generation data centers and high-performance electronics.

- Sustainable Energy Storage: We're pioneering advanced thermal energy storage systems that leverage sand and rock as abundant, cost-effective materials. These systems are optimized to efficiently generate steam or supply hot water, serving as a vital link for grid stability and the retrofit of power plants.
